Overview
Join the QuickBooks Live team as part of the Small Business Self-Employed’s Group to lead a team of managers and certified bookkeepers as we build out this new and exciting service. We are looking for a strong manager to build and lead a large, virtual team, while at the same time supporting the growing team in establishing scalable systems and processes.
The ideal candidate for this role is enthusiastic, empathetic, organized, and flexible to constantly re- prioritize and adapt in an ambiguous, quickly-evolving environment. Professional bookkeeping experience and experience managing large remote teams are highly desirable.
What you'll bring
- Candidate can be located in Mountain View, or can be remote.
- 3-5 years in a formal leadership/management role. Prefer experience in a remote environment and/or in a customer-service environment
- Demonstrated operational focus on driving daily operations, KPIs and continuous improvement
- Strong track record in consistently delivering top quartile performance metrics over time
- Proven experience working with team members in career development plans, coaching, and performance management to facilitate team performance
- Demonstrated strong project management skills including ability to take something from conception to execution with little direction while bringing others along.
- Experience working in an agile technology environment
- Strong analytical skills and ability to use data to understand key drivers of team performance
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills. Ability to explain complex features on dual sided platform (customers and experts).
- Direct bookkeeping/accounting experience and related credentials strongly preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of study preferred
How you will lead
- Hire, lead, manage and motivate a high performing team in achieving or exceeding business unit goals. Effectively manage a remote workforce of hundreds of bookkeepers, taking into account and understanding the unique needs of this community.
- Partner closely with other leaders in the QuickBooks Live team to optimize service delivery and to identify and resolve operational issues
- Establish effective partnerships with other parts of the QBL organization, as well as the broader organization, to improve the overall bookkeeper customer experiences and help introduce new services being developed.
- Continuously assess and improve immediate team’s processes while also driving improvements in cross-functional processes.
- Help shape the direction of QBL and the way we operate; establish, manage and drive projects end-to-end to achieve results
